Emeralds have dazzled humanity since the beginning of times. Colombian emeralds´ Good will has last 500 years, and still are the most demanded in the world. Actually, the emerald sector is applying for the Appellation of origin.
While working with miners, implementing the strategy Mine to Market and finding investment for the Colombian´ Emerald mining sector, an opportunity to make research with the Academia was open.

Their studies concluded that humanity feels attracted by emeralds’ beauty, but very few know how to identify their quality and the factors that determine their price. People are willing to pay high prices without knowing what they are really buying.
